Time Vortex. It powers the Doctor's spaceship slash time machine. And if you can't handle my talk, you really don't want to meet the Doctor. I can't understand what he's talking about half the time.
He grinned and shook his head, finishing his beer as well before hearing the next comment.
Well, then, it's a good thing I like breaking laws, eh?
Turning down another beer, Jack smiled down at the robot dog who was his companion. K-9 didn't have to wait to know what Jack was thinking.
Teleportation recharged. Possibly to teleport three others with me.
Good dog, K-9.
Affirmative. Shall I prepare the mechanism, sir?
Ah... Waiting until we're in privacy would likely be better. Course, doing it now could draw some attention, which I, personally, wouldn't mind.
Jack winked at someone who was passing, but clearly being bisexual wasn't so big here, as the guy looked at him as if he had three heads. Jack near pouted. This world was no fun.
Times like this, I really miss the 51st century... Hell, just the 21st century was more open than this...
He muttered to himself, though it was just good flirting he missed, not so much home.

Rothgar was a man that respected control and laws. He almost choked on his beer. "You cant be serous? Do you understand the possible threats and dangers of mixing technology with a primitive society? I mean" His attention was distracted as he saw the man eyeballing another man.
Coughing Rothgar said. "So you swing that way huh. yeah, be careful who you do that to. Your lyable to get your teeth knocked out. Not that I have a problem with it. Just dont try nothing with me. Rothgar could not understand homosexuality. The way he thought of it was like two plugs. Put a male side to a female side plug and you get power. Put two male sides together you get nothing. It just did not work. And Rothgar believed that was for a reason.
A drunk soldier called over to Rothgar. "hey sargeant! Do that thing that you do" Rothgar waved a hand of dismisal. "Not tonight buddy." The drunk soldier climbed on a table with the rest of the other drunk soldiers cheering him on.
"Cmon!" The man said and crouched to stand up quickly extending his arms to the side. "do that dragon thing Puff" Rothgar growled a bit. He hated being called puff. It was.... so degrading. "I swear if you refer to me as puff the magic dragon again I am going to put my boot up your ass"

Jack cracked a smile.
Trust me, I know the consequences. I've had to deal with not mentioning future events in the past. But, Alexx is way ahead of me with technology and she's been down there...Well, a year for me, two weeks for her dad, and...well, who knows how long for herself. Possibly a couple years. So if anything is going to get screwed up, it'll likely be her fault not mine.
Of course, to the later comment he just smiled and shrugged, hinting he didn't actually care about all that much. He wasn't the most...serious kind of person in the world. Or the universe, for that matter. Noticing that Rothgar was distracted though, Jack slipped off his chair and began walking away, not entirely subtle, but nonetheless, he'd picked a better moment than just walking away before with Rothgar's full attention on him.

Rothgar turned back around to just catch a glimpse of the mans trench as he went around a corner. "What? Do good to hang with me? Screw you to" With that Rothgar resumed drinking.
Later that night Rothgar sat down on his bed to get ready to sleep when EVA sounded over the ceiling intercom in his room
There was a unathurized access attempt to terminal 3 on the side halls of the cargo holds holding the philosophers legacy.. Report there emediatly.
Rothgar groaned and stood up to take his personal pistol out a drawer. Putting on a military cap to show he was on duty even though in civilian cloths Rothgar headed to unguarded side halls.
To no surprise he saw the man in the trenchcoat standing over his little robot dog that was emiting steam. It must have tryed to plug into the security access terminal and got shocked by EVA. Since he was pissed to have to come all the way out here and the man could not die. Rothgar unloaded a entire clip into the mans back and walked over to kick him in the side as he came back to.
"HEY! You are not suppose to be here. Access to the cargo holds are restricted to military personal only. Get out of here!" Rothgar looked to the robot dog. "He broken?"

Jack groaned in annoyance and glanced over at poor K-9.
Nah. He does that when he's angry. I was just following him, he tried to get a bit of power from that thing there, and something shot at him. Alexx probably shoulda given him less emotion, but...
He shrugged and sat up as K-9 stopped steaming and turned to face the two of them, one of his side panels dropping down to reveal some buttons.
Sir, I suggest we leave now. I cannot achieve the power to locate Mistress's exact position from up here.
Yeah, well, I never asked you to...
Jack mumbled low enough that, hopefully, K-9 would hear and make some technical comment of some sort. The Robot got annoying now and then. K-9's ears swivelled a bit.
Are we bringing him with us, sir?
I don't think so. Unless he wants to come?
Jack smiled and moved into a crouch. He'd learnt from experience that, if you had to teleport without a capsule to teleport in, crouching was always better. That way, when you landed, you could roll and cover your head instead of get knocked out cold on some rock.

"Angry? Pft, no robot I ever met has emotions." Some of the crew kept robot pets. And quite often claimed they had emotion. It was a human thing he figured. They always tryed to humanize there pets.
Now that he knew the breach in security was a mistake. He decided to let this one go. "Well I can blame this on ignorance rather then law breaking. For future reference dont come near this hanger.
Rothgar took off his cap with the words specter on it to scratch his head. "you two still planning to go down to the planet? Well under the UCM 32/1-7 I cant allow that" EVA's voice sounded on the intercom in the hallway.
"Sargeant Glasscock. I have been dectecting unknown anomonlys from the surface and planed to send a team. You are to go with him. Your primary directive is to find that anomoly. Master Jacks mission holds no pertenence to you"
Rothgar sighed. Well it was decided. He did not really want to go back home. But he would if the damn computer ordered him.
"Alright. I will go. But first I have to get myself fixed up for the trip and get some supplys" Ill meet you back here in a minute
Rothgar went to his room and changed into the old cloths of his homeplanet that he came here with. Picking up a backpack he started to pack military rations, a scanner, and toilet paper. He put on a cracked leather vest and strapped a sword to his back. Right when he was about to leave the room he stopped to turn back and pull a case of magnum condoms out a drawer.
"Heh, cant forget these now" Returning to Jack and K-9 with the backpack Rothgar stood by them to start muttering. "No running water, no Holo Vids, no toilet paper.... I cant believe I survived on that god forsaken rock"

Jack raised an eyebrow, tempted to say something, but deciding against it. For once in his life, he was going to hold his tongue.
I'm afraid if you want to get down there with us, we're going to have to be touching. Holding hands is best. That way you don't accidentally get dropped in the middle of the teleport and break into atoms.
Jack, in the meantime, had grabbed a hold on the handle the was near the teleport button and was holding his otehr hand out toward Rothgar, his usual smile still on his face. He smiled a lot. What there was to be so happy about in the life of Jack, who knew, but there had to be something.

Rothgar stared at Jacks hand for a moment before taking it. "Okey, but dont get any bright ideas"

Who? Me? Course not! Never while teleporting, anyway.
Then, his thumb slid over to press the button and K-9's teleportation system went into effect. They landed on the ground a few minutes later. Jack instantly let go of both K-9, who closed his panel, and Rothgar to get up and take a deep breath.
Ah, smell that air! So much fresher than back on Earth. Of course, the smog doesn't quite cover up the pheromone smell anymore, since there's no smog.
He scratched his chin, but really could care. After all, he couldn't help it. Everyone born when he was mostly had the mentioned pheromones. Drove people not accustomed to them crazy. Well, not everyone. But a lot of people. He did like to believe the curious looks he got was because of his great looks and carefree attitude, though, even though it wasn't always.
So...Why don't you fill me in on where exactly we are, since I actually have no idea.
K-9 had powered down slightly again, to recharge in case of danger.

After the teleportation Rothgar stood up. "Draca are not ment for such travel" He muttered. He did not like the feeling he had felt. He threw up for a brief second. First time teleportation tended to cuase that brief sickness. "Pheromones?" Rothgar sniffed at the air and shrugged. "I smell nothing"
"Well we are on a remote planet where the anomonly you call magic is excessive. The society works like earths midevil fuedal system. You have peasents, nobles, knights blah, blah, blah. You know"
He was grateful they appeared in some woods rather then a city. That would have been hard to explain. Rothgar pulled out his scanner and typed at it for a minute. "You go do what you have to. I have my mission to do. Hmmm, the anomoly is 3 miles east of hear. Cant travel that far on foot.
Rothgar did not like the idea of undressing in front of this man considering his sexuality. But he did not want to ruin the cloths he had. Undressing shamelessly and grabbing at the feeling in his chest. Rothgars bones cracked loudly as they reshaped. His flesh bubbled and blood splattered off his back as spines erupted out. In seconds he was panting on all fours in his dragon form. He was rather small for a stereotypical dragon at the size of a draft horse. Without a word he started to strot until a decent amount of speed was built up. Spreading his wings and catching a air pocket he soard into the air. He was only home for a few minutes and already he found himself in trouble.
Looking below a field of livestock. Something shiny caught his eye. Dragons being dragons he was naturally attracted to shiny things like a mocking bird. Decending to land under a tree he sniffed at a shiny plate of some kind. "OOOH! Shiny" He muttered to pick up the plate. This was his mistake. A rope hidden under the dirt came up with the plate and released a trap he did not notice.
A metal cage came crashing down around him. "Crap!" Rothgar growled and banged into the cage. The ruckus braught over a sheperd who leaned on a staff to click with his tounge.
"I am so tired of you reptiles coming and eating my lifestock. I'm going to keep you in there as a message to the others" the sheperd went back down the hill to tend to some sheep.
It had been awhile since Rothgar used telepathy. But he needed help and was to weak to change to his human form and slip through the bars. Sorting through all the minds he sensed nearby until he felt Jacks rothgar said.
"Hey buddy. I need a little help. I'm trapped in a cage not far from you"

Jack had been waiting around for K-9, then grinned. He slipped out the key he still had from the year-that-never-happened and put it around K-9's neck. It was a perception filter. Everyone could see k-(, but he wouldn't really register in their mind. Well, unless they really wanted to see him. Alexx would see through it. Possibly Rothgar. Hearing the 'cry' for help, he began jogging, having K-9 leading him.
When he saw the cage he grimaced from his hiding place. He wasn't entirely sure how he would get him out, but he was good at improvising.
K-9, can you blast the lock off with a laser, when no one is looking, and not hit our good friend Rothgar?
Affirmative.
Alright. I'm going to sneak closer and let him in on the plan. When I wave at you, aim and fire.
When the shepherd looked back at his sheep, Jack ran over, trench coat flapping in the wind behind him.
Alright, K-9's gonna blast the lock with a laser. Be ready to run...er...fly? Don't worry about me. I'm good at faking dead if the shepherd somehow manages to kill me and I come back before he's gone. Don't come back for me. It's not safe.
He didn't give the other time to reply. He was self-centered most times, but when it came to life, death, and someone's safety, he was the first to sacrifice himself for another. Someday, he'd find something that actually did kill him. And then there'd be relief. He waved his hand at K-9 and leaped out of the way as the red laser shot out and snapped the lock, and the bar that it was on, into pieces. The door swung open quietly, but hte breaking had not been quiet. Chances were it was heard, and Jack began to work on some sort of distraction technique in his head. The one thing he could think of was taking out his Sonic Blaster and aiming at a few choice trees that would block the shepherd's path. It made the area it was aimed at disappear and the tree tops fell with loud crashes.
GO!, I'll hold him off!

Rothgar grumbled at Jack when he came. He listened to the explaination and turned his head to look at the sheperd. As the lock blew off he pushed the door open with the flat of his head and exited out. Rothgar shook his head. He did not know why jack was planning on staying behind.
"your making things to complicated" He reached out to snach Jack by the scruff of his trenchcoat in his jaws. Taking hold of K-9 with a claw he took to flight not so gracefully. Carrying passangers weighed him down.
They were pretty high now in the air when Jack slipped from Rothgars teeth. With lightning speed he grabbed Jack by the ankle with a hind claw and lowered his kneck so he could see under his belly. "liking the view little one?" he asked the dangling upside down jack

If I wasn't upside down, I'd be fine. I've got a bit of a thing for standing on roofs. 'Specially on windy days.
Flexxing the abs he'd worked so hard on, he managed to swing himself up and grabbed hold of one of Rothgar's claws, slipped his own ankle free, and then climbed up to let the blood circulate normally again.
And I can take care of myself, you know. Been dealing with aliens for years. Got taken by a pterodactyl once, even. Though, I admit, that was a bit unnerving. Flight was eradic, cause Ianto had just feed the thing chocolate. God only knows why.
He was about to go on, talk about how he'd gotten away from the dinosaur, when he was interrupted by K-9.
Mistress has been located. Northeast, 200 miles and not moving.
Jack smiled. He hadn't seen Alexx in a long time. He needed her around, she kept him sensible. Whacked him--quite hard--whenever he got too distracted, and especially when he flirted at all the inopportune times, as he had a tendency to do.

Rothgar felt jack making his way up and snorted as he was tickled a bit by it. He half heartedly listened to Jack until K-9 interupted jack.
"sounds like a long way to go. Screw that. Im heading for what I'm looking for" it did not take long as it was only 3 miles away.
The anomoly was just a old beacon that partially surived the entry through the atmosphere. It was little more then a melted slab in a crater. "and this is what I came back for?" Rothgar muttered as he scrapped dirt over the crater.
When he was done Rothgar decided to go against EVA's orders once again. "Well, I have nothing more to do here. Let us go find your friend yes?"

I would hug you, but I have a feeling you'd object.
Jack replied, having been silently observing Rothgar do his job, though he hadn't really taken it in.
So...are we flying? Cause K-9's not up to teleporting us there yet, I don't think.
Affirmative. Power levels too low to teleport.
